Clear-cut and Straight-forward Imaging
The 3D Anatomy Imager is the latest modular feature of Talia Technology's RTA ophthalmic imaging system. The 3D Anatomy Imager reconstructs a 3D-volume visualization of the acquired 3x3-mm area, using the sequential scan images. The volume is automatically registered on the fundus image and can be displayed as raw B&W or a color-coded image using an algorithm to enhance the inner structure of the retinal layers. Talia calls the 3D Anatomy Imager a user-friendly application, enabling free movement including zooming, rotating and slicing of the volume in all three axes. The application also enables measurements of distances and angles as chosen by the operator. Call 1 (800) 214-2030 or visit talia.com.

Leaves a Fine Mark for CK
Katena introduces the Strauss Marker (K3-8580) designed by Dr. Glenn Strauss of Tyler, Texas. The Strauss Marker imprints a symmetrical pattern of 24 dots or "pilot holes" on the cornea in preparation for performing a conductive keratoplasty procedure. Katena says the instrument is produced with a radius to conform to the curvature of the cornea and the 24 points are arranged in three rings of eight points each at the 6-, 7- and 8-mm optic zones. The instrument also features a 2.5-mm targeting ring for centering it over the cornea. Visit katena.com.
